NURVA CORPORATION has announced the manufacturing and assembly of the NURVA Warfighter Optical identification System, [OPTIC-IDX®] which is scheduled for Phase 2 production the third quarter of 2016.

This dynamic and innovative product will be the first of its kind optical and network integrated system to help identify friend or foe on the battlefield and offers a significant ability in identifying both personnel and equipment in the most challenging environments and conditions.

“This system represents the integration of the two most important sensory/signal outputs, critical to ensuring proper command and control awareness. Combining high visibility optics and high energy network broadcast signaling, a new framework is revealed and real-time tracking and identification is achieved”, said Fernandez.

The lightweight and small housing structure is made of a high-density polymer allowing for the highest degree of impact resistance, critical to protection of the sensitive system optics and network communications circuitry while allowing those components that must have external interaction/connectivity to perform optimally. The innovation is derived from inclusion of a proprietary optical display which includes a hardened LED light housing and condensed integrated circuitry. (OPTIC-IDX®) is a joint project of NURVA CORPORATION and the industry leader in manufacturing micro optical components.
